Our Staff

Isabelle has called the Yukon home for nearly 10 years. She brings a passion and experience for community and youth engagement from her past work across the North in Yukon and Nunavik. Her positivity and drive inspires and encourages creativity and out-of-the-box thinking in our team.


Minchul is an experienced educator for early years and teens as well as an administrator. He takes pride in providing the best possible organized setting to staff, students, and community. His goal is to support and share our growing organization with the community.


Christine has worked with BGC Yukon for almost 7 years, starting as a Youth programmer and moving up through Early Years Program Director. Now she oversees all our programs, facilities, and training. She loves reading, playing Dungeons and Dragons, camping, and spending time with her family.

Operations Director

In her five years with BGC Yukon, Emily has been involved in all aspects of our Early Childhood programs as a Teacher, Coordinator, and Program Director. She has two children of her own, and loves watching TV, reading, and baking with them.

Early Years Program Director

Oliver is originally from the UK, but has been in Canada for many years now. Outside of his work managing some of our youth programs, he is a cook, a musician, a philosopher, and a family man. He loves being able to make a difference in the Yukon!

Drop-in Program Manager

Maxime is originally from Toronto but feels more at home here in the Yukon. He has a background in Music Education and is passionate about building positive and meaningful relationships with youth. He loves being active outdoors in all seasons. Also, long walks on the beach.

All-Stars Program Manager

Peyton was born and raised in the Yukon and has been working with kids her whole career. She loves to be outside, whether it's summertime camping or wintertime snowman building! Also, long walks on the beach.

All-Stars Youth Programmer

Brittney was born and raised in the Yukon and has a strong connection with the land. She's been working with youth since she was 15 years old, now has a son, and is devoted to helping youth achieve their goals. Also, long walks on the beach.

All-Stars Youth Programmer

Nico is passionate about outdoor education, conservation, and helping youth connect with the wilderness. He was born in France and studied in Quebec and Nunavut before moving to the Yukon. He loves photography, archery, wandering through the trees, and cheese (hon hon hon).

Land Based Youth Programmer

Matthew, aka "Toots", has been with BGC Yukon for almost a year. He's a musician, a poet, and a lover of good conversation over instant coffee. Long walks on the beach are also a preference of his.

Food Project Coordinator

Anjumol (Anju for short) has been with BGC Yukon for four years, after moving from India where she was a nurse. She loves early childhood education and spending time with toddlers. She enjoys spending time with family, watching TV, and baking.

LTD ECE (currently on LEave)

Rose has a diploma in Early Learning and Child Care from Yukon University, and three years' experience working in child care. She believes in a "child-first" approach and brings knowledge of various curricula to her work with children. She enjoys music and hanging out with friends.


Meet Christeena! She graduated as a Developmental Services Worker from Fanshawe College, and has worked with youth of all ages, from infants to pre-schoolers. Her awareness of special behaviours and attittude prevention in classrooms is part of the knowledge she brings to her work.


Harmanpreet (aka Harman) moved to Canada from Punjab, India to study and is nearly graduated with a diploma in Early Learning and Child Care. She has been a part of the BGC Yukon team for over a year. In her free time, she loves to sketch, do adventurous things, and garden.


Since moving to Whitehorse from Germany 21 years ago, Birgit has worked as a day home operator and Early Childhood Educator. In her free time, she works at the Yukon Arts Centre, loves to bake, and spends time with her family.


Wendy brings a caring, openminded, and welcoming personality to her work at BGC Yukon. She is a mother and grandmother and has been a foster parent for nearly 20 years. She believes in supporting and learning from children by meeting them on their level and listening to them.

LTD Cook

Manu has a degree in English and is working on a diploma in Early Learning. He spent two years as a teacher in India, where he grew up. In addition to his youth work, he volunteers for a local NGO which works to improve the lives of child workers.

LTD Daytime Cleaner

Breanna (or Bre, for short) recently joined our team after moving from Dawson City where she ran a preschool program. Outside of BGC Yukon, she volunteers at childcare facilities and runs Early Learning workshops. She loves being outdoors and helping kids explore and experience nature.


Kyla is a born and raised Yukoner who left for a while but couldn't stay away from her Yukon home for long. She brings daycare experience and a passion for youth development to BGC Yukon, helping youth become their best selves. Also, long walks on the beach.
