Christine has worked with BGC Yukon for a little over 10 years, starting as a Youth programmer and moving up through Early Years Program Director. Now she oversees all our programs, facilities, and training. She loves reading, playing Dungeons and Dragons, camping, and spending time with her family.

Harmanpreet (aka Harman) moved to Canada from Punjab, India to study and is nearly graduated with a diploma in Early Learning and Child Care. She has been a part of BGC Yukon team for a few years now. In her free time, she loves to sketch, do adventurous things, and garden.

Isabelle has called the Yukon home for nearly 14 years. She brings a passion and experience for community and youth engagement from her past work across the North in the Yukon and Nunavik. Her positivity and drive inspires and encourages creativity and out-of-the-box thinking in our team.

Danielle is the director at BGC Haines Junction, where she develops youth programs, secures funding, and builds strong community connections. A passionate advocate for rural youth, she loves crafting, cooking, and planning adventures with her son. She brings creativity, care, and heart to everything she does.

passionate about co-constructing learning with young children to spark curiosity and support their full potential. With a background in Finance, Early Learning and Childhood, and Child and Youth Care, I believes every child and Youth is full of wonder and rights, and deserve inclusive, high-quality environments.

Alysha is our former BGCY youth turned Youth Program Manager. When she is not herding teenagers at the Youth Drop-In, you can find her singing karaoke in the car or chilling with her two cats, Misty and Olly, who keep her covered in cat hair daily!

In her five years with BGC Yukon, Emily has been involved in all aspects of our Early Childhood programs as a Teacher, Coordinator, and Program Director. She has two children of her own, and loves watching TV, reading, and baking with them. She is now overseeing the Middle Years Programming as the Acting Director.

Marty is the Youth Program Coordinator in Haines Junction and a steady supporter of local recreation and the arts. He has over 10 years of experience working in education. Outside of work, he spends time on the land—hiking, paddling, hunting, and fishing—and also works part-time as a photographer.

Ru completed her bachelor’s degree in China and later studied Early Learning diploma at Yukon University, where she also earned the Youth STEAM and Trades Program Instructor Certificate. During her studies, she began working at BGC and has continued to grow with the organization ever since.

Faith is a dedicated youth programmer and a proud mother of three lovely daughters. With a strong background in education, she is passionate about creating programs that natures growth, inspires confidence and learning in every youth she serves. She enjoys academic writing, cooking, sewing and is a loyal friend.

Story is a born and raised Yukoner and has been connected to BGCY for almost his entire life. He went to LTC and All Stars as a kid, and attended Drop-in for many years. Now he works as an Executive Youth intern to help support behind the scenes the programs he loved as a kid.

Proud raised Yukoner. As a child I spent most of my summers outdoors, camping, at the lake with my family. I graduated University with a diploma in youth service worker, multiple qualifications. The love of this field and community brightens my passion for work with youth. I am the funny guy and the family man.

FN from Saskatchewan, moved to the Yukon in 2007 and quickly found a deep connection with the land and community. Passionate about the outdoors, spending much of my time fishing, hunting, and camping, keeps me grounded and connected to nature. For the past seven years, I’ve dedicated my work supporting youth.

Travelling dog mom of Charlee and Lola. Always down for an adventure any chance she gets. She loves to motivate others to get outside and out of their comfort zone. She is a natural strong leader. Filareti was born and raised in Greece. With background in nursing, my passion is to take care of others. My goal is to inspire curiosity and a love for learning in every child while promoting their independence, creativity and self- confidence. In my spare time I enjoy watching movies, cooking and going for a walk.

Completed my Early Childhood Education diploma in Toronto, gained experience in Jasper, and now call Yukon home. Karanjot is passionate about supporting children’s growth through meaningful play and am always ready to work hard, stay positive, and create a warm, inclusive environment for every child.

Jasleen leads with purpose, compassion, and a strong belief in early education’s power to shape the future. With 4+ years of experience, she creates calm, engaging, and respectful environments where children can grow confidently—and where families feel valued every step of the way

I am a born and raised Yukoner. When I was a child I spent most of my summer months out at my grandmothers house in lake laberge. I graduated University on June 2025 with a diploma in Early childhood education. I am an animal lover with two dogs a cat and some fish.

Anjumol (Anju for short) has been with BGC Yukon for a few years now, after moving from India where she was a nurse. She loves early childhood education and spending time with toddlers. She enjoys spending time with family, watching TV, and baking.
